stars and stripes…

Hello everyone. It’s hard to believe it’s May, spring is here and the academic year is drawing quickly to a close! It seems like ages since I had the time to sit at the crafting table and get lost in the process of making a card.

Diane’s challenge this month is to produce a card with red, white and blue and/or stars and stripes. I thought I would give it a go, using all of the above and some flowers too….

I die cut the scalloped, blue frame and stamped some random stars (Super Stars-PTI) onto a scrap of white paper with red dots to use as the background under the frame. The circles used for the sentiment (SU) were punched from 1-1/4″ and 1-3/8″ hand punches. An edge-stitched ribbon was used under the circle and some additional stars were punched for the background, from a shimmery red card stock. The roses were leftovers that I think, but I’m not certain, were from Anna Griffin.

Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are having a truly lovely spring and can find a few minutes to join us on this creative journey!

Hugs and blessings,
