think spring…

Hello everyone and welcome. The new Double ‘D’ Challenge is the perfect reason to create a beautiful, spring-themed card! I took some inspiration from a card I saw last year, created by Betsy Veldman and made my own, personal version…

I began by die cutting the front panel from 40 lb. watercolor paper then doing some loose water coloring on the center panel. I mixed in some shimmer powder, but the shimmer really is only visable when you see it in real life…

I die cut and stamped six flower bouquets, adding some light apricot shading over the yellow of the tulips and some darker aqua over the forget-me-nots. The sentiment was heat embossed in the middle and then the flower clusters were overlapped to create a wreath…

I adhered the frame (cut all in one with the center panel) and popped the main panel up on adhesive foam so that the aqua card stock base would peek through.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration board, overflowing with creative ideas!…

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your ideas on the challenge site! Look below for a full list of materials used in my card.
