Welcome! Autumn has been joyful. A huge hunter moon, cool air, the colors and textures of fall clothes, winter squash and pumpkins, longer nights and so many wonderful things that I am grateful for, now give way to the splendors of winter.
At Double “D” Challenges the theme this month is,”Dreaming of a White Christmas”. I created a panorama card with concertina sides. It folds flat as a pancake for mailing and stands on its’ own for display…
The quick description of this style of card is that it has four panels. There is a solid back panel and three in front, each one cut out with a slightly larger opening until you get to the front panel which has the largest opening of all. Each layer is treated separately and the finished effect is charming…
Here is the side view which shows the accordion folds that allow it to flatten. Each layer is attached to the side panels. The card is 6 x 6″ and fits into a 6.25 x 6.25 flat envelope…
After die cutting the snowflakes I treated them to a coating of M. Stewart, corse glitter. In real life it makes the snowflakes look as though they’ve been encrusted with crystals upon their crystals! It was worth a little extra time to hopefully brighten someone’s mail!
Wishing a wonderful beginning to winter with
Hugs and blessings.
