Hello everyone. It’s time to let out a big sigh in the southwest as cool weather is on its’ way! October more often resembles summer here in the desert, but the mornings begin to cool which means the days will be moderating too. Each year when I turn the calendar page to October, I think about autumn in New England, where the trees put on the most magnificent display of color. I think about the sound of leaves under my feet and pumpkins piled up by the door…
Where I live, pumpkins need to be displayed indoors if they’re to last awhile! That thought lead me to ferret out two old jar and filler stamps. Pumpkins in a jar seemed ridiculously comical, and as absurd as my autumn dreams in the desert…
I did some quick (a bit too quickly as I can see) Copic coloring, taking my colors from this great inspiration board….
Some hand dyed seam binding that I had made some time ago, made a nice triple loop topper along with a small stamped tag, a golden daisy (O.K., it’s kind of similar to an autumn blooming aster) and two, embossed paper leaves finished off the cluster…
I will list my supplies below. Happy October to you!
