pop of pink…

Welcome and thanks for joining me for today’s new challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.  It’s called, ‘Pop of Pink’.  Using the inspiration photo and dies…

Our sponsor for this challenge is Dies R Us, so I incorporated 4 different dies into this card.  It’s so easy and so much fun to work with dies.  They’re one of my favorite ‘go-to’ elements for any project.  The inspiration was taken from this photo…

PopOfPink

The band of floral paper that represented the ranunculus flowers looked a little sparse so I added two toned, stamped pink flowers to fill out the design. You can get a whole other use for your patterned papers when you think of adding to the existing design!  The central embellishment as made from a hand dyed silk ribbon bow, a triple bow made from seam binding and layers of fabric flower petals that were all glued together…

The two tiny sentiment tags were die cut from a subtly printed paper from the same paper collection as the rest of the patterned papers.  The same set of tiny, stamped flowers was used to embellish the tag on the left, just as it was used to fill out the floral design of the center patterned paper band…

Since a dark brown card stock was used as the card base, two sheets of patterned papers were trimmed along one edge and one of the sheets was flipped 180° to form the inside papers.  I love the papers from this collection and the fabulous ornate look of these two pages, just waiting for a hand penned sentiment!

Blessings and hugs,
