Hello friends. I had some creative fun making this wintry window for the new Shabby Tea Room challenge, called, ‘Forecast, Freez’in!’. I used inks to create the sky, die cuts for the icicles and branch and a darling vintage snowman image from Heather Hudson. This little scene was built around a sentiment from Paper Sweeties called ‘Warm Winter Wishes‘.
The inspiration for this new challenge is taken from this inspiration photo…
Thoughts of warmth made me think of being wonderfully cozy indoors!…
I didn’t feel like too much of a heel, leaving this sweet snow lady outside in a winter landscape. The cold is her friend after all! I snipped an opening around her hand, so that she could hold an assortment of hearts. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the window frame…
A big, soft bow anchors a wrap of pleated ribbon that runs along the side. It needed a little ‘something’, so I heat embossed a heart that was die cut from a cereal box. After turning it pink, I treated it to a thick layer of frantage. I want to point out a little detail in this room with a view~ I separated the two different wallpapers with a chair railing. What makes it notable is that I used a crimper, which hasn’t seen action for quite a few years! It’s always nice to rediscover a tool or supply. It’s like adding a brand new item to my craft room!
