in a word…

Hello everyone~ Today’s challenge at Frilly and Funkie is hosted by Sue who has selected the theme of Words, Words, Words! For this challenge instead of an image let a word take centre stage. A single word can speak volumes, so let them do the talking! This could be on any kind of project you like, a layout, an altered item a journal page, you choose but no stamped sentiments allowed!

I chose to work with the Studio of Memories paper collection from Pion Designs…

RebeccaDeeprose Dear-1

All of the papers and letters came from this wonderfully vintage collection.  Only the doilies, buttons and edge trim were added.  This flip-album style of card intrigues me, but I’ve only made one other that you can see HERE, with a very different flavor to it…

The large letters were punched from an alphabet sheet that is included in the collection and the butterflies and small ‘typed’ letters that say, “You are” came from another embellishment sheet from the same collection…

The butterflies were treated to some Distress Glitter in Milled Lavender, which couldn’t have been a better color for this paper collection.  The trim from Linda’s Funkie Junkie Boutique, was colored with Copic #E81 which was another ‘perfect’ match.

Choose a word, let your creativity loose and come join us in this challenge!

Sending you blessings and ((hugs)),

  • Absolutely gorgeous! I love that die

  • This is fabulous!! Love the soft, romantic feel with the lovely bonus of the lavender glitter bits! It’s the perfect finishing touch. I also appreciate that you used two different doily dies under the letters for added interest. I will definitely go check the F&F blog out because I think my Mother’s Day project might just work. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • Totally brilliant Rebecca, I just love how you extended the frames of this wonderful die with the trim around the edges. The stickers for the word are just perfect too, a real wow factor project!!
