While I live in a part of the world where plants are alive and blooming year round, I love the soft monochromatic colors of winter…particularly winter whites. For many years I lived in New England and for a few years in Minnesota. Both locations know true winter with months of bare branches, brown ground or feet of snow. I’ve heard people describe winter as ‘colorless’. REALLY??! Look more closely…shades of white, blue white, grey white, pinkish white, cream, off-white, grey browns, green browns, red browns, lavenders, dove grey, pewter grey, steel grey and on and on. So this month at Vintage Udfordring, we’re celebrating winter whites!..
I began with a favorite digital pattern paper of lime washed wood boards and a copy of handwritten music…
A tag of embossed white card stock, cut with swallow tails and layered with die cut leaves, flowers, a twine bow and resin escutcheon…
a scattering of pearls.. all in shades of white..

This card is simply STUNNING!! I love the LO and the choice of papers and embellies is exquisite! The touch of stitching on the banner, layers of die cuts and two tone threads…..all of it is masterfully done!!!! Then I saw the ‘bubbles’ of pearls….oh my! Gorgeous, Rebecca.
