cute as a button…

This week at The Shabby Tea Room, Debbie has provided this sweet photo for inspiration…

Our challenge is to create a card or project that uses the colors in the photo and includes a button…

PaperPromrose TSTR

This week’s sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I’ve used their ‘Heel’ -daisy, digital stamp.  While I’m a comfortable-shoe officianato, I would love to wear stylish  high heels!  This one is paper pieced and embellished with two tiny buttons.  They were originally white collar buttons, but a red Copic pen did the trick to turn them into a red match…

PaperPrimrose TSTR-2

A patterned polka dot paper provided a great, ready-made focus for the shoe…

PaperPrimrose TSTR-3

A simple little banner, stamped with a sentiment suitable for a stylish friend is embellished with a fabric flower, a half pearl added to the center, another tiny button tucked in and a double bow,  made from hand dyed seam binding complete this card.

Hope you’re off to a wonderful week, full of creativity.

*Hugs*

Rebecca

    I meant stylish offcourse!Sorry!

  • Stunningly stylish! I wish I could wear these too … Many years ago they were no problem … even used to run abut in heels … not anymore!

  • Love the colors and details of this sweet card! The buttons on the shoe and bow are the perfect touch! I doubt I could where those high heels without twisting my ankle but a girl must dream about them at the very least – and just for fun! The mitten picture just makes me want to get some felt out and make some ornaments for my tree! hmmmm!

  • Gone are the days when I could wear this kind of shoe (I still have a closet full of them in all colors, including leopard), and now I’ll enjoy just looking at them. This card is FABULOUS, Dahling. Love the tiny button accents and how you colored them, and also love the bow and your choice of polka dot paper. Very stylish indeed!
