This is my first week as one of The Shabby Tea Room‘s designers. You’ve probably heard me celebrating at odd times this past week! There are new considerations when I create for TSTR and I’ve been learning lots about the details, with the kind and willing help of Debbie and the other designers.
This week’s challenge is called ‘Pretty Party’ and Debbie has selected a vibrant and inspiring photo…
I enjoyed making a little gift bag, to hold some homemade meringues. It’s so nice and so welcoming to find a little gift at your place setting, whether it’s a formal affair or my favorite kind of dinner~ one at home. This little glassine bag is embellished with a die cut doily, a beautiful digital tag (from ‘Digital Papers by Janet’, on Etsy) with punched scalloped corners and a simple stamped sentiment. It has two holes punched though the folded top and threaded with hand dyed seam binding, tied in a bow… I couldn’t resist gathering a leftover half of a doily and tucking it behind the ribbon.
A special card for the birthday girl or for the newly engaged recipient of a shower. Perhaps an anniversary couple?! This one has an unusual construction…
It’s folded from a single sheet of double sided 12″ x 12″ paper…
An embellished belly band keeps it closed…The band is made of cardstock, punched along each edge with some special green trim down the center. The medallion is made with a die cut doily, another beautiful digital tag and some hand colored digital roses and butterfly (from Bugaboo), all increase ‘the pretty’ factor…
It unfolds to show it’s sentiment…
and it’s double-sided paper patterns, along with another digital tag and hand colored digital roses and another tiny, glittered butterfly from the same Bugaboo digital image.
Thanks for visiting~ This blog has lead me to an amazing group of women! I am loving the correspondence we’ve been having and I’m so grateful for each of you.
*Hugs*
Rebecca
