monochromatic, all dressed up…

I am very happy to return to City Crafter Challenge for my second week as Guest Designer!  Thank you to Kirsty and all the super talented women on the design team!!  The challenge this week is to create a project that is monochromatic. I chose to work with a warm brown..in all it’s varieties from ecru to deep earth tones.  Here is the cover…

It ties closed with some hand dyed seam binding…

and construction that looks like lots of pages, from the side…

and a sweet surprise inside!

On the left side, is a pocket for a leaf edged tag and some leaf shaped tags, ready for sentiments on the back or front.

On the right there’s a little scene.  It reminds me of a grown-up version of the shoe box dioramas I made as a child!

…and on the spine, just a tiny title.

Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this project.  I’ve loved making it!  This is another project that I’ve written down for a video project.  Thanks for visiting!

*Hugs*

Rebecca

  • Oh Rebecca, this is stunning. I cannot believe the patience you must have for all the details! Inside even looks to have sheer curtains over the little chair and egg nest! Every detail is so well thought out, even to a leafy punch over the leaf tags.

You continue to amaze me. At 75+ that seldom happens anymore! haha
    Hugs, Pat
