This week’s challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is called ‘Labor of Love’ and is inspired by this idea-rich image! Debbie is asking us to create a card or project that uses the colors from the photo and to include a banner.
I created a card that is completely from scraps except for the card base…
While I was on a ‘scrap’ roll, I used some embellishments that have been in my stash for ages! There is a panel of vellum placed over the weathered wood paper, to soften it’s effect. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s ‘Think Big Favorites #4. It really appeals to me because it’s suitable for a birthday, congratulations or as an everyday card. It could easily be ‘tweeked’ into a guy card by removing the flowers, heart charm and butterfly, and replacing them with some punched shapes such as a moon, leaves, small circles or perhaps some triangular buttons.
Thank you for stopping by~
