shabby patterns…

This week’s Shabby Tea Room challenge #128 is called ‘Shabby Patterns’.  This is the beautiful inspiration photo…

Along with colors from this image, we’re asked to include flowers and damask. It’s hard to know how the mind works, but I was looking at the criss cross design on the backs of the chairs and that inspired the folded design of my card…

Some yummy patterned papers from a new pad…

the mix of cream and white tones in the photo…

and the panels framed with molding along the wainscoting…

…came together into this fun card!  I’m thinking that the panels could be used to add photos, mini postcards, tags, sentiments and lovely bits of ephemera.  It could be used for an anniversary, birthday, wedding, thank you or  a ‘just because’ card. I love having some special, non-specific cards ready to go.

This project will become a video down the road.

Thanks for visiting!
