happy birthday roses…

I made this card for two challenges~ Mojo Monday and Wild Orchid Challenge.  Wild Orchid’s challenge this week is a pink and green creation. Mojo Monday’s challenge is this sketch…

and this is my creation…

I had a great time, embossing a rose stamp with white on patterned paper and then using some Copic markers to add some shading.

I really loved working on this project, stamping, coloring, embossing, stitching, inking…all things I love to do!

We had 113 f today, and it felt a whole lot hotter!  The temperature gauge in my car reads the ambient air temperature about a foot above the ground and it was reading 133 while I was running errands!  Thank goodness for air conditioning ;) Now it’s off to make dinner.  Thanks for visiting and for all your sweet comments. I really can’t describe how wonderful it is to read your kind words of encouragement!

*Hugs and Blessings*

Rebecca

  • This is so lovely Rebecca! I love how you added the shading to it with the copics! This is one of the first stamps sets I ever purchased from Papertrey Ink and still one of my favorites – I adore roses!!!! And smell them blooming in my garden almost every day right now! A blessing!

Sorry it is so hot where you are!!! Wow!!! Take care – that is too hot!!!

I love the style and ‘feel’ of your card. It is soft and feminine without being too frilly for my taste! Love the embossing and coloring and the subtle patterns that come through on the papers. Great job Rebecca, it’s beautiful!

That’s super hot 113 F and 133F ..we don’t even have an airco in the house or our car(an old one) imagine if it would be that hot here …couldn’t cope I think…

    Beautiful, just beautiful!

So very beautiful Rebecca!!! I love all the quiet patterns, fabulous coloring… gorgeous coloring and a fab card for both challenges!

  • Your heat wave sounds unbearable! Geez. And here I am, complaining about a muggy 87 here. (it’s that darn humidity that gets me)

Your card, however, is glorious! Those soothing pinks and greens are pure eye candy.

Absolutely stunning and I am so gutted this does not qualify for the WOC challenge, unfortunately our products must be used in any challenge entries.

Thank you for your kind comment
