The Shabby Tea Room‘s new challenge is about books and using cream, aqua and pink. Not just any book, but wonderfully worn books with lots of character!
I created a book that holds a little gift…
It is made from card stock. The only patterned paper on the outside, is the ‘Botanical Gazette’ panel which came from a sheet of discontinued patterned paper from my stash. Some score lines on the spine, suggest the lines of an old hand bound volume…
Some lines drawn around the sides of the box, create the look of old deckled pages…
and held closed with a satin ribbon, inserted into the construction…
Inside, a stack of botanically themed note cards and envelopes…
a single format allows for assembly line production…
A square of patterned paper, a band of stamped text directly onto the card front, die cut ovals, a piece of jute ribbon and a folded tag of satin ribbon topped with a button, make a sweet and very quick set of notecards for the cook or gardener in your life.
If there weren’t a list of ‘must-dos’, I would remake another version of this right now!
Thank you so much for taking a few moments to visit!
*Hugs*
