It’s Papertrey Ink’s ‘Stamp-a-Faire Summer Camp’ and the third challenge of the day is to create paper beads! You can see Nicole Heady’s instructional video HERE. I had heard about paper beads a few years ago, but hadn’t bothered to try making them. I think it was the thought of cutting all those fussy little triangles! Papertrey Ink has a die to do that work for us and it makes the job super quick and super fun. I only wish I had bothered to check out the seed beads in my drawer~ I had to improvise with what was on hand. It will be more appealing when I redo it with some new beads!
The good news is that this being Arizona, my beads dried in a flash! I didn’t have skewers on hand, so I improvised with some fancy japanese toothpicks and a block of packing foam I was about to discarded…
It worked beautifully. I’m looking forward to teaching this to the little girls in my life~ maybe some of the big ones too!

This looks WONDERFUL! And how clever to pull out the toothpicks! I am thrilled that you had fun with this project! I really appreciate you sharing your results!
Your bracelet is lovely. The seed beads were a great match to the paper. Clever idea with the Japanese toothpicks and the foam.
So pretty! Just love how this turned out! What a lovely skill to teach to little ones too!
Beautiful work Rebecca! I love the colors you combined here.
