just a little something…

I’ve been playing with some of my favorite components~ craft paper bags and glassine bags.  I could work with these two elements for a year and not get bored! It seems the more I play with them, the more I discover they I can do.

I began by layering two glassine bags and die cutting a decorative edge on each with ‘Edgelits Adorning Accents’ from Stampin’Up.  This lovely branch die cut was made from a Memory Box die.

The little flowers are from Maya Road and colored lightly with Copics.  The sweet little bird image came from a K & Co. die cut selection.

The kraft bag is edged with a Martha Stewart punch, embossed with an Anna Griffin stamp with Filagree white embossing powder and embellished with a fabulous rustic trim from Flourishes and lemon tart satin ribbon.  The butterfly is from the same pack of K & Co. die cut images as the bird.

Inside, is a quick little album.  The heart punch on the back cover serves as a tab to pull it out.  The front cover’s edge is punched with a zigzag and heart punch from Stampin’Up.  The tag was made with Spellbinder’s ‘Fancy Tags #2′.  I cut it once in yellow and again in white.  I cut away the outside of the white die cut which left the perfect oval for the label.  The sentiment comes from ‘Tranquility Trilogy’ stamp set by Papertrey Ink and the small bell flowers from Waltzing Mouse’s ‘Vintage Label #18′.

Each of the inside sheets is punched with a different decorative edge, but each page has the same mat of kraft paper.

Because this little assemblage doesn’t specify an event, I’m thinking it could be presented to a close family member or friend, containing some special photos or given to anyone as a blank book, for them to fill.  Perhaps a collection of quotes or a list of things that make the recipient special!!  Who doesn’t like to hear about their good points!

I’m entering this project in Cr84FN.  When I saw the inspiration photos and these colors, a few different ideas came to mind…

I will also enter these challenges…

Skrapperiket- a bingo challenge, I used a stamp, butterfly and heart

Anonymous Scrapper- brown, white and an optional color, two items- mine is a card and an album inside

Card & Scrap- wings

Kort(card) O’ Mania- butterflies

Dream Valley Challenges- anything but square

Hope your day is happy and thank you for stopping by!

*Hugs*

Rebecca
