City Crafter’s Challenge is entitled ‘Bon Voyage’. It’s that time of year when so many people leave HOT Arizona for more temperate climes (Hawaii included)! I decided to make a small(ish) journal that could be given as a gift to someone off to tropical islands!
Starting with a mini composition book, I covered it with papers from Graphic 45′s ‘Tropical Travelogue’ papers and embellished it with a fabric orchid, some dyed mother-of-pearl chips and discs, a glass blossom and travel stamps.
The edges were inked with black. To keep it closed, I took a a fiber coated elastic hair band (the kind you can make a pony tail with) and adhered a fabric flower for embellishment…
…a single turquoise rhinestone and it’s ready for a little gift basket filled with sunscreen, disposable camera, waterproof pen and chapstick.
