The Ribbon Reels’ Challenge #29 is asking for a project that uses a die cut, a flower and ribbon, along with the colors found in this inspiration photo…
You can visit their site HERE. While I think these colors are positively yummy, I haven’t reached for them as a group, so I happily dove into them!
There are four die cuts on this card.. a turquoise mat cut from a Framelit Label Collection die, the layers of scalloped old vellum from Limitless Layers 2 1/2″ Circle Collection, the green doily from the Doily Details Collection, both from Papertrey Ink and the coral flower is cut from Spellbinders’ Spiral 1 Blossom.
The coral ribbon is tucked between mats and layered over a paper ribbon tail. What fun to play with layers and die cuts! As Suzanne Russell wrote in a comment to me, ‘What did we ever do before die cuts!’ I really don’t remember those, ‘dark ages’!
Now, I must dig my playable out from under the debris of the week!

WOW!! How totally yummy is this?! I’m psyched by your card! Love the way you punched up the colors and the use of patterns (subtle) and the layered die cuts is terrific! Thanks for sharing- I love this idea!!

Beautiful card! What a great assemblage and beautiful use of color!
What FUN! Great idea to work those layers, with other embellishments tucked in between. It makes it so much more attractive to the eye. The use of ribbon is wonderful and the addition of two kinds of trinket pins and buttons seems so perfect! Well done!
