papertrey june blog hop challenge…

This month, the inspiration photo is about these colors, patterns and textures…

I used lemon tart, aqua mist and new leaf card stock along with ‘Friends til the End’ and ‘Turning a New Leaf’ stamp sets.  A touch of Copic #YG17, two 3/8″ circle punches of yellow card stock, a short length of ribbon and a button finish off this card.

It has been a hard emotional slog through my mothers’ affairs and her current state of mind, taking big hunks out of every day and leaving me tired and feeling that my creative self has been drained dry.  Sitting down at my play table is a connection I don’t wish to loose, so I’m posting even though I’m less than pleased with my results these days.  I know this time will pass and life will settle down to a new normal and my creative ideas will flow freely again… I’m really looking forward to that!!  In the mean time, a BIG Thank You to those of you who continue to follow and support this journey~

Sounds as though you are dealing with some hard stuff…and hard stuff with a Mom is especially tough. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

AND I LOVE your card. The design is wonderful and I wish I was as good as you are at adding ruffles to my card. Haven’t taken the plunge yet, despite all of this eye candy! Isn’t it wonderful to have a craft that allows you to escape into color….if only for a little while?
