lovely layers for a challenge…

It’s Papertrey Ink’s ‘Make It Monday’ challenge #72 and it’s all about Stepping Up Embellishments.  You can see Dawn McVey’s super, clear video HERE and see all the creations that have been submitted.

I just received my new sets of ‘Lovely Layers’ stamps and dies and I couldn’t wait to start playing with them!  This is the first of many variations I’m hoping to make with these fabulous sets…

I set my stack of layers (some stamped and one embossed) into a negative space on the card face, which I cut with Spellbinders’ Labels Three.  There is a mat (made with the same die set) that I applied to the layers before setting the whole panel behind the card face.

If you look closely, you may see a small motif (from Waltzing Mouse’s Vintage Labels #18), that I stamped with VersaMark in each of the reccesses between the leaves.  The sentiment is from PTI’s ‘Birthday Basics’ stamp set and was stamped with razzleberry ink from Stampin’ Up.

Thanks for visiting!

*Hugs*
