Papertrey Ink’s ‘Make It Monday’ challenge is all about bordered sentiments. You can view Betsy Veldman’s instructional video HERE. This is a useful and simple technique and Betsy does a great job of demonstrating it.
I made two versions of the same card…
This one is clean and simple. I used my new, favorite stamp set, ‘Natural Beauties’ from PTI, along with a flower from ‘DayDreamer’ and another tiny one from ‘Flower Fusion 7″. The sentiment came from ’Half & Half’. Then, I couldn’t resist dressing it up just a bit…
I cut a slit on each side of the sentiment and threaded a length of organza ribbon under the sentiment and wrapped around the panel before mounting it onto the card base.
I’ve got lots to do today and the high heats we’re experiencing now, end my working day a bit earlier. Thanks for stopping by!

Just received this floral set, and I’ve liked (and not liked) many of the cards I’ve seen done with it. YOUR CARD IS THE BEST USE OF THIS SET I’VE SEEN! Your close color combos, and all the complimentary ‘flower insides’ are just perfect. You really make this set and colors sing. You always get my juices flowing!
