I’ve never outgrown my little girl love of pretty tea parties! This card was created for The Shabby Tea Room’s ‘Sweet Summertime’ challenge #117. You can visit the site HERE.
I took out my ‘big girl’ tea set, in the form of stamps and dies and had a grand time! I used stamps from PTIs’ ‘Tea for Two’ and ‘Tea for Two Additions’ sets along with their dark chocolate ink. I rubbed some white pigment ink over the area I was going to stamp with the sentiment. It made the lines of the pink ledger paper fade a bit into the background, so that they don’t interfere with the legibility of the sentiment.
The challenge asked that aqua, pink and brown be used, along with inspiration from this lovely photo.
The patterned papers came from; Melissa Frances-Minerva, Bazzill-Vintage Marketplace collection and Kaisercraft-Chanteuse collection. I used Spellbinders ‘Labels #10 & 23′ dies along with the ‘E’ die from PTI’s ‘Oval Die Collection 3 1/2′. The seam binding is hand dyed with re-inkers and the trinket pin is from Little Yellow Bicycle. The sweet little roses are Kaisercrafts’ Mini Paper Blooms. Pearls were a must for my card as well, so there is a large one on the teapot and each cup has a little one on the handle, in addition to the pearl topped pin.
I’m ready for another tea party, any time!
