colourQ #134 & deconstructed sketch #49 …

After mondays’ challenges, I was in search of a real challenge!  It’s fun and easy to work in my comfort zone, but as you know, I love pushing myself into colors and sketches that don’t appeal to me.  It’s a lot like walking into someones’ beautiful home, admiring the ambiance, colors and style, but knowing you would never want to take it home!  So…while I am fascinated by these two challenges, I knew they would push me.  That is GREAT!  These are the inspirations~

I love what you’ve done with the sketch and color challenges! Not easy, but really good!!! The layers are beautifully done and that background text is just right to support everything else. Bravo!

You’ve done a beautiful job bringing these two challenges together! I love all the terrific detailing on it!!! Great idea to have the orange just peeking out of the latticework and the stamps on the sentiment tag are perfect!

  • Barbara Lazky

LOVE, love, love the sentiment and you did such a SUPER job at setting it off! I don’t know how you do two challenges at once. You always seem to nail both of them and I struggle with one!

  • Rebecca such a beautiful card, I love all of your layers. Great job on the sketch too.

Wow! I don’t like the colors in this challenge, but I REALLY like what you’ve done with them! The sketch is pretty static too, but it’s really interesting to the eye with all of the layers you’ve added. You have worked with both challenges very successfully.

  • This is just beautiful, Rebecca! The layered focal point is wonderful, and I just love the sentiment. Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ!

WOW! Your attention to detail and the way you put the elements together is gorgeous! I love that it has a simple, overall look, but when I started to look carefully, I was amazed!
